First Book Review!
I would like to recommend that you go see the movie Sicko. Go with an open mind and whether you like Michael Moore’s movies or not I think it is worth watching. My husband and I saw it this weekend and were blown away. I hear patients on a regular basis complain about their insurance companies and how they have to fight for care. They are frustrated and stressed. I work with a fabulous neurologist who can’t even prescribe certain medications to help Migraine patients. One patient was told she could have only four migraines per month. Well, tell her body that. I don’t know what the answer is but something has to change.
My diet hasn’t been so great the past several weeks and I am having hives to show for it. Time to get back on track and commit to my diet. My exercise routine has been great until the end of last week. I had to skip my lunch workout as I was doing an interview for a billing person. I then had interviews on Saturday. Tomorrow is Monday and I will have time to do my kettlebell workout. I will do my snatch and swing workout to get more cardio and strength.
I have been better with my exercising over the past several weeks. I had a great workout at lunch today. I had 30 minutes to bust out as many snatches (20kg), swings (24kg) and cleans (16kg) I could do. I felt really strong as I was doing the snatches. I think I finally got my grip right so I can do repetitive snatches and not tear my hands apart. I love doing hi-rep snatches. I also have been trying to do swings and jump roping for 10-15 minutes prior to my class at night.
My diet has been very clean since starting the Jay Robb diet. My problem with raw was I had to eat a lot of nuts and avocados in order to keep my energy up but the nuts really goofed up my digestion. I am now eating primarily raw vegies with some yogurt and lean, organic beef/chicken/fish. I am drinking lemonade when I want a snack. I make the lemonade with one lemon per one quart of water then add Stevia to make it a bit sweet. Great tasting and very good for you.
I am SO honored for all of the kind words I have been receiving for the advance release of my upcoming book “7 Steps To Amazing Health!” We just shot pictures for the book a few days ago. We are working on the editing and structure of the book as we speak. While all of the behind the scenes work is going on I thought I would share some more testimonials with you from people who have read the book.

“The 7 Steps To Amazing Health - it’s simply as assertive and truthful as
the name of this book itself. When I get caught up with my busy schedule and my mind recalls to think of my health and well being I’m very happy to know that I have the blessing of reading such a positive and brilliant book with the voice of
acknowledgment and statements that Dr. Wendy Schauer gives to all of us. You won’t regret to follow the ‘7 Steps’, all you have to do is just
believe that it can change your world for the best.”Everlayn Borges
“The 7 steps to Amazing Health is a wonderful book and really helped confirm my beliefs on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and taking care of your body.”

“The “easy to digest”, advice I received here in the delicious pages of ‘The 7 Steps To Amazing Health’, by Dr. Wendy Schauer has awarded me and my family, the proverbial “Spoonful of Sugar” to help the medicine go down! Unlike so many other health books I have eagerly read, this one left me with no “bitter taste” after. This expert does NOT put “whipped cream” on garbage to market health…She has instead given us the good, the “secret ingredients!” (seven of them in fact) for Amazing Health! I feel blessed to know we now have a REAL doctor in the house! She is right here in our family library, doing a house call! This fabulous book is just the prescription I have waited for!”

I am so impressed with people who can blog every day. My intent is to blog every other day but as you can tell, it doesn’t get done. I took a self-defense class this past Friday with Tim Larkin (Target Focus Training) - http://www.targetfocustraining.com Every woman should take this class. I didn’t realize what I needed to do to protect myself. I knew I would not be able to physically fight off an attacker so I had no idea of what I had to do. Tim makes the class easy giving you target areas that will put someone down. I HIGHLY recommend his class.
I have kicked up my kettlebell training. I have been working out at lunch three times per week then will do more swings at the end of the day. Today I did swings and snatches for 45 minutes.
I had to change my diet. I was eating all raw for three weeks, which was just what my body needed at that time, but my energy started to lag. I have been doing the Jay Robb Fat Burning Diet which alternates high protein one day and high carb the next day(still lots of raw vegies). For this moment in time my body is responding well. I never know what I will be doing three weeks from now as I just pay attention to what my body is asking for. My main goal with my diet is to keep my energy high. I have a busy chiropractic practice and I need to keep my ketttlebell training up.
